The interpretation of ranges that do not contain an "!" can be changed through use of the naming convention command line parameter.  This is specified as follows

NameConv=integer

or

NC=integer

Valid values for integer are

0 to interpret symbols without ! as CellRanges

1 to interpret symbols without ! as Sheetnames

and the default value is zero.
