Program or data input style specific interfaces exist with a number of other programs.  The document Interfacing GAMS with other applications at http://www.gams.com/~erwin/interface/interface.html discusses interfaces with Excel, Oracle, Access, DB2, general SQL using procedures, MPS, NETGEN, and GNETGEN as well as programs in Visual Basic, Delphi, C++, Java, and a Web server.  The document by Michael Ferris entitled Matlab and GAMS: Interfacing Optimization and Visualization Software at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/math-prog/matlab.html explains a Matlab interface.
