Our long time partner Dr. Nick Sahinidis, CEO of The Optimization Firm and Developer of the well known BARON Optimization Solver , has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering for “his contributions to global optimization and the development of widely used software for optimization and machine learning.”
Many GAMS users have benefited from his work on BARON over the years, and we would like to congratulate Dr. Sahinidis for this well deserved recognition!
